I was really excited about this trip, despite the all-day bus rides which have been killing my back. After thinking about all the places that I have been and traveled to, even when I was working in New York and Massachusets, I realized that I have never once laid eyes on the Atlantic Ocean. We arrived in Essaouira a little after three, had a great lunch on the beach in the sun, played at the beach a little while and checked into the hotel. Angela and I wanted to watch the sunset (which you can only do on this coast of the Atlantic) so we went back to the beach, had a bottle of wine and some fried Calamari and enjoyed my first Atlantic (and Moroccan) sunset.
